The city has issued a Request for Qualification for the portion of the park that is to be developed for housing. This Request for Qualification is being issued by the Corporation of the City of London for a portion of the former Sherwood Forest Public School. The property was declared surplus by the Thames Valley District School Board in 2013 and acquired by the City in 2014 to undertake a residential infill demonstration project. The school was demolished in 2015.
The intention of the process is for the City to identify qualified respondents who will be invited to participate in a tender process leading to the selection of a successful bidder with which to negotiate an agreement of purchase and sale in respect to the sale and redevelopment of the site for a residential infill demonstration project.
