Open House on City’s Draft Strategic Plan
Our Ward Councillor Phil Squire and Ward 5 Councillor Maureen Cassidy are holding a joint open house on Friday January 30 from 6-8 pm at the 2nd floor community room at the Loblaw’s at Richmond and Fanshawe. As you are probably aware Council is working on the new Strategic Plan for the City and are looking for input. The Strategic Plan will drive future City budgets so having your say is important.
If you can’t make the meeting, Councillor Squire would like to hear from you. His e-mail is psquire@london.ca

There will be a City staff report to a committee of City Council this winter and shortly after, the Local Advisory Committee will begin to meet. Stay tuned for updates. The Valley continues to impress the consultants with its wide variety of species including species at risk, which is unusual for an urban setting.
Super Mailboxes
Where will the new super mailboxes be located? According to City staff, there will be a report to a Committee of City Council on February 3. It is likely the Civic Works Committee. You can get the report on line a few days ahead of the meeting at

Medway Valley Heritage Forest Environmentally Significant Area
The Conservation Master Plan Phase 1 final report will be presented to an advisory committee to City Council on January 15th at about 5 pm at City Hall, 2nd floor. The consultants will present their findings. Later in January or February, the city staff will provide an information report to City Council’s Planning and Environment Committee (our Councillor, Phil Squire is a member of that Committee). Further information about public meetings and the Local Advisory Committee will be forthcoming.
