Ratepayer AGM and Community BBQ
Our AGM and second annual community BBQ will be held on Thursday, May 26 starting at 6 pm at Orchard Park Public School. We had a great turnout last year and great weather. This year’s event is supported by a SPARKS! grant from the City of London. Flyers will be distributed shortly door to door, posted on the community mailboxes in the area, and information will be posted on the web site.
We are looking for a few people who are willing to have a small sign on their lawn for two weeks starting May 14th. Please contact Sandy Levin if you are willing to do so.
Sarnia and Western Road Intersection
The City is awaiting input from Western University before holding the second public meeting regarding changes to improve traffic movements at this intersection. It will be the fall before this public meeting is held.
Former Sherwood Forest School Site Update
The draft report on the archaeological assessment is being prepared by the consultant and it soon should be sent to the Province for the purpose of securing a clearance letter. There is no timeline at the moment since these things vary between Ministries but, assuming the City receives the clearance letter in short order, city staff hope to have the RFP for the sale of part of the property for housing released shortly thereafter. The City will still have a final review meeting with our community representative at the table before the release the RFP to incorporate any additional changes.
Watermain Relining Project – Metamora and Rollingwood
