It only takes a few minutes to give waiting shovels an idea where you live and a brief description of any important details. Submit your request, search for snow angels in your area and/or have them contact you to make the arrangements. Try it today!
BECOME A SNOW ANGEL: Ready to make London a little nicer and help out a neighbour in need? Sign up as a Snow Angel and you will be connected with neighbours requiring assistance as well as other Snow Angels nearby. When you are willing to shovel, simply sign in and search for people near you in need of support.
January 19th PD Day at the Museum of Ontario Archeology
Experience hands on learning at the Museum of Ontario Archaeology with uniquely themed PA day camps for kids. Each camp has a different theme and different activities. Space is Limited. Ages 5-9, call 473-1360 to register.
Brescia Cultural Festival
The Brescia Cultural Festival is on Thursday, January 25 from 12:30-3:30pm in Brescia’s Auditorium in the Mother St. James Building. It’s an opportunity for the Brescia community to showcase various aspects of their heritages. This is done as table displays, various performances and activities and food. Several of the local ethnocultural restaurants generously donate food for sampling.
Starting this year Brescia will be showcasing a community group as a way of continuing our outreach and will be collaborating with the Chinese Canadian National Council.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Nature in the City
Nature in the City 2018 , a free six-part series of illustrated talks about nature in and around the City of London, begins on Tuesday, January 16.
- Dates: Six Tuesday evenings from January 16 to February 20
- Time: 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
- Location: London Central Library’s Wolf Performance Hall at 251 Dundas St.
- Cost: Free! Plus up to two hours free validated parking at Citi Plaza during library hours.

Since its founding in 2004, Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Centre has been nursing injured wildlife back to health in the London area. Founder Brian Salt will describe the journey he has been on, the work that he leads with staff and a volunteer team, and the recent expansion of Salthaven. Come and learn about a day in the life of this rehabilitation facility.
