Sarnia Road Widening – Update

An update on the Sarnia Road Widening project –

The presentation from the September 9, 2010 neighborhood meeting is now posted.

The agenda for the September 9 meeting included the following:
• Present all of the alternatives considered for the intersection
• Review changes that have been made to the recommended design since the June Public Information Centre
• Receive input from residents on the revised recommended design
• Review recommended design for Sarnia /Castlegrove (west leg) intersection

In addition, a Comment Form for public input is also available. Comments are requested by September 23, 2010.

Update on Sarnia Road Widening

A neighborhood meeting to review the proposed changes to the Sarnia Road/Leyton Crescent intersection will be held:

Date: Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: St. Ausgar Lutheran Church, 600 Lawson Rd

The meeting will be focused on proposed changes to the Leyton Crescent as well as Castlegrove boulevard (west leg) intersection.

ARC Update

Upcoming meeting dates for the Sherwood Forest Accommodation Review Committee (ARC) are:

* Wednesday Sept 8th at Sherwood Forest School
* Wednesday Oct 13 – location TBA

Both meetings are at 7:00 p.m.

The ARC is dealing with the Board’s recommendation to close Sherwood Forest Public School.

Members of the community are invited to speak at the ARC meetings. The ARC Public Consultation Form is available at http://www.tvdsb.ca/files/89379/ARC%20Public%20Consultation%20Form.pdf. This form must be submitted to the Board not less than 8 days ahead of the meeting.

As part of the Accommodation Review Committee (ARC) process related to the proposed closing of Sherwood Forest school, local residents can submit comments to the trustees of the Thames Valley District School Board. The ARC is advisory to the School Board. It is the members of the School Board that ultimately makes the decisions on school closures.
