Proposed LTC Changes to Bus Routes

The Ratepayer Executive would like to hear from you about the proposed LTC changes.

Display boards from LTC show the proposed changes in and around our area. One shows the proposed routes and frequency of bus service through the neighbourhood. The others show the current North End routes and proposed North End routes.

The 31 bus that currently goes through the area would become the 9A bus and service would be increased to include Sundays to 11 pm as well as until midnight Monday to Saturday.

Please note that the frequency shown for the proposed Route 9 on the slide entitled Route 9 & 31 is the frequency along the entire 9/9A/9B route. Only the 9A portion is proposed to operate through Orchard Park. The 9A would operate at half the frequency indicated for each of the time periods (i.e. where it shows a 15 minute frequency for Route 9 between 9 am and 2 pm Weekdays, then Route 9A would travel through Orchard Park every 30 minutes).

Please let us know your thoughts. You can also provide comment directly to the LTC by December 14th either by e-mail to, through an on line survey at or by attending one of the remaining drop in sessions.

The final recommendation for this and many other changes will be presented to the London Transit Commission sometime in January. The report will be available to the public before the meeting. It is the Commission makes the final decision. At this point it is not known who will be on the Commission as appointments are made by City Council next month.

All meetings of the Commission are open to the public and take place at the LTC offices on Highbury at Brydges. If you want to appear before the Commission to make a presentation about service changes, you have to make a request. You should contact Caroline Roy at the LTC (519-451-1340 ext. 335) to find out the date and time for this meeting and to make your request to appear before the Commission.
